Back to Sewing

It's been nearly a month since my last post. Time definitely flies!
I've been keeping busy with some sewing projects I wanted to share with you.
I finally completed a costume for my son to wear at this year's Comic Con event in NYC.   He wanted to go as Link from Legend of Zelda.  So I searched for a picture and began the process of putting it together. The most challenging piece to make were the boots, but over all I'm pleased with how all the pieces came out. Most importantly, he LOVED it and had a great day in New York City.

DRESS FORM PIN CUSHION
Just this week, I was inspired by a video by Kim and Kris
(NO NOT KARDASHIAN!  LOL!!)
Kim and Kris from DIY DISH.  I love these girls and can't get enough of their blog/videos.  As soon as I saw their dress form pin cushion, I wanted to make one! (I've made 2 already this week!)  I think they are just darling!  I have to say though... mine definitely came out 'wider' than theirs look, and I didn't change the size of the downloaded pattern but LOVE  them none the less!

They are definitely addictive! I could make one everyday ~ but with Thanksgiving around the corner I wanted to embroider some napkins.  So  I'll have to put these down for a bit, but I will surely be making more!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by :)
